Stephen Glover is a leading British journalist who co-founded the Independent and the Independent on Sunday. His book Paper Dreams is the story of the founding of those newspapers. This story is an interesting take on art and how we perceive it. A woman meets a mysterious man in an inn, where he asks her to take his once most prized possession. Should she do it? The possible consequences of this decision continue to follow her throughout her life.This story was short, but very good! It has you hooked from the beginning. I will certainly be following this author. Hopefully he will write longer novels in the future. They would no doubt be a great read just like this one.

It was rather bland.
I thought this was a book but seems more like a short story. I don't know how they considered what I read as 200+ pages.
The mystery, the strange man, how he provoked the curator who thought of herself as righteous yet in the end we are all alike and selfish under the right circumstances.
I did not purchase this book, so I have no idea whether it is good or not.
This story's prose moves very quickly and its narrative is framed in a way that reminds me of some more-established writers. The story certainly succeeds in weaving an interesting plot with intriguing characters, though there were a few hiccups.
For me, the moral questions the story raises are its strongest points and, for fear of spoilers, I'll stop there...
The idea of keeping art to oneself vs sharing is interesting, but I found the time periods confusing. At first it sounded like nineteenth century, then a Land Rover appears.
